Its interesting that the Sparrow-hawks* bear a great resemblance to GDI Orcas of the Command and Conquer series. Lets hope they do a better job then the orcas in game. Orcas have been way to slow, and have to reload all the time. It kills their effectiveness.
*i thought that was the name, because i thought i remembered this name being a reference to the old Sparrowhawk biplanes launched from airships in the 20-30s, but i could be wrong.
That last screenshot IS an odd one…
I wonder if they realize what they’ve shown. Since that really can’t be anything except one of the Halo Installations, the timeframe of Halo Wars must span way farther than they lead on.
They know exactly what they’ve shown. I assume that it will turn out to be some “secret Marine squad” that battled on a ringworld and promised to never disclose that information. I could be wrong. But since the timeline is supposedly before Halo, and humanity had supposedly never seen a ringworld before… then that’s just about the only thing that can happen.
Cb the ring bye the ark is the fixed version of installation 01. I think its just something the producers of the pictures to throw you off,to keep you busy.
The Producers of Halo Wars have said in an interview that we’ll see what that “Thing” is when the game comes out. Since Halo is filled with a thousand plot twists, I’m not suprised to se another one.
Another thing to notice… Assuming the first picture is on Harvest, which with the last picture is obviously up for debate, then why is there a Forerunner door?

Maybe someone should check to see if the ring in the screenshot matches any of the other instalations shown on this website.
Well to me it looks alot like 04, it could be a bonus level. But, by looking at it, it seems to me that this is not a screenshot. Rather a concept art to raise interest in the halo community. But thats just my opinion we just have to wait untill its release to find out for sure.
2) IF the UNSC knew, why did Captain Keys seem so surprised when they first showed it in Halo: Combat Evolved?
3) Is the installation 04, or is this one we have yet to visit? Maybe this Halo ringworld will imploy some Water Vehicles.
4) Did the Covenant KNOW about the Halo’s all the time? If so, would the Prophets (Who were absent from all of Halo: Combat Evolved) have known what they were capable of, or did they find out in Halo 2?
So many questions! I hope this game will answer all of them.

To answer the fourth question from Spartan…
I was under the impression that the covenant, especially the prophets always knew of the rings and their powers. They just had an overzealous religious view of the installations.
The novels really explain all that.

The last screenshot seems to be a campaign shot, I doubt it is multiplayer. Why? There are no team colours.
Note the Brute in the bottom left of the screenshot, they weren’t revealed to humanity until First Strike, though I have heard they appear in Contact Harvest.
it is halo 1 ring because they are fighting elites and i see no brutes (which are in a few other screens and it is no concept they say they arent on site THATS WHY ITS CALLED A SCREEN SHOT (SCREEN!) and there is no conspiracy thats what books are for lol btw spartan 99 stfu NO WATER VEHICLES THE PROPHETS KNEW OF THEM THE HUMANS NEVER SAW THEM and u stupid
@PikminGod:
it’s a red-team Scarab. on the top left inlet you can see the red-team Ghosts coming into the blue UNSC base. the SPARTANs could be a bonus hero squad.
@screenshot6:
the Pelicans don’t have their retractable landing gear?
Awesome screenshots. I will def DL this game or buy it. Makes me feel like halo all over. It would be awesome if you could go down in a view of a spartan/marine/covie and control them, like FPS style! I hopes you can make marines do detailed stuff like go on scarab and kill core or pick up weapons!
to the contender in contact harvest there are brutes and the book says that the humans are forerunner artifacts and the brutes want the planet but a grunt causes war between them. i cant find my book to tell you the number. also the brutes wernt in the first halo because the covanent shipmaster was an elite and brutes and elites were not the best of friends.

I like how they retain the red vs blue aspect in multiplayer.

Whats with the last picture?
I thought the game was set before the halo game not during because they are fighting on a ring that looks like installation 04?

Maybe it is one of the other instalations since MC has only really been to 2 or 3( does the ring by the ark count as one?)

My only question is where are the Spartans?? Will they be buildable characters or heroes? Will MC be there or one of the other Spartans who?
O and in picture 6, whats the big red thing overlooking the base from the upper right hand corner?
