I usually dual wield a plasma rifle and a spiker. They’re pretty good against the flood and you can get them early in the level. Convienient, isn’t it? And they don’t stand a chance!:D

dual plasma rifles are extremely useful against pure forms for some reason. It can fire at the ranged forms, and taking down a tank form is easier than you think. I would recommend using them every now and again, just to mix things up.

The Ranged Pure form actually has a weak spot – wait for it to “open” and fire at you, the cavity it was covering while closed (near its center of mass) is susceptible to BR fire.
